We are already in the midst of a war, but it’s not what you think. This conflict is spiritual, emotional, and political, tearing apart our world in unexpected ways. In this episode, we tackle the aftermath of the pandemic, which has left so many feeling trapped and enraged, fueling these unseen battles. We’ll reveal how one can find true contentment and a richer life by understanding these issues through a spiritual lens. Furthermore, we critique how religious teachings have shifted towards self-centered messages and stress the necessity of true spiritual guidance to navigate these turbulent times.
Key Takeaways:
- The world is already embroiled in a spiritual and emotional war exacerbated by the pandemic’s aftereffects.
- Genuine change and resolution of societal conflicts can only come from a spiritual awakening within the church.
- The church’s role is to foster spiritual transformation, not merely provide therapeutic comfort.
- Political and social solutions alone are insufficient for resolving the core issues of anger and discontent.
- Personal and collective revival in faith communities is imperative for creating lasting peace and genuine change.

0:00:00 Hey, people ask me all the time, are we going to have a third World War? And I say, we’re already in a war. We are in a current war right now. Come on and listen to the more faith, more life podcast, and I’ll tell you all about it. Hello, everyone. Welcome to another more faith, more life podcast. I’m sitting at my desk instead of over on the other side of the room where we usually shoot this. Just decided to stay put and sit here. So I’m at my desk with a piece of paper, and we’re going to talk about the current war that we are in. I get asked a lot about, do you think we’re going to have World War three?
0:00:29 I do have an opinion on that. But however, we are already in a war, and we have the symptoms of another kind of war. We’re in a spiritual war. We’re in an emotional war. We are in a political war, a war of values and the old ways and new ways and all of those kind of things, and this war. And by the way, I want to help you get more life. That’s what this more faith. How to adjust your faith so you can get more life out of life and do it God’s way. And I want to continue on that, but I want to bring it a little differently into what’s really going on by presenting chapter two of the book, if you only knew. It’s called the current war. All right, so I’m going to talk about that.
0:01:16 And we are downloading, or giving you the ability to download, study guides from more faith, more life. So you want to go there and look, is there a study guide to these chapters? We’re putting them on there so you’ll be able to get those and follow along a little better or just keep them handy as we see events taking place, one right after another of our changing world. So anyway, what we’re in now is very interesting, because when we went through the pandemic, we were told what to do. There wasn’t a war.
0:01:47 In a way, we did have people, I guess, arguing over vaccinations and things like that, but generally there was no war. We were told what to do. Close the restaurant, close the church, close the theater, stay home all the. Well, you know, you know, wear a mask, you know, the rules we had, and we were forced to do it. And the government all over the world, imagine the whole world did that. No matter where you went in the world, same rules.
0:02:16 You couldn’t go to a restaurant in the world. So imagine the power of that, and then imagine the frustration we had it pretty good here. Our church had it pretty good, but not every place did. It was harder in some places than others. And imagine the frustrations that came out, being told what to do during that time period. And then when it ends, now we have all this frustration built up. We want to, we got to start our schools again. How are they going to be like, start our churches again? What are they going to be like?
0:02:46 Government? What are you going to do? Who’s going to be elected? All these things are happening, and all a sudden those frustrations from those bent up days of unable to go, unable to speak, unable to be, are coming out in angry ways. It’s like we’ve been in prison. We were in a kind of a prison thing forced on us. We couldn’t go places. And then all a sudden we’re led out of jail and we’re angry about it and we don’t even know why. We’re, we don’t mentally say we’re angry about it, but we just built up a lot of anger and a lot of frustrations.
0:03:17 And so now we’re in a place where we are in a current war. And the war, as you know, it’s no surprise, is between politicians, the right, the left, conservative, liberal right. The war is on with, now it’s taken over with the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is under people trying to change the Supreme Court and the rulings they made and how, and they’re scrutinized and people are angry at them and want to change it, and then angry at political candidates. And this person got indicted. Now they’re going to impeach the other one. And it’s like, what?
0:03:51 Just anger and frustration and fighting for something, trying to change what we think needs to be changed so that we think we can be happier or more at peace or safe. And it’s not working, obviously. It’s just gone on and on ever since the pandemic was this turmoil. Turmoil’s gone on and on and on. And so we have to learn what is happening, see, and I want you to get more life out of it. I want you to, if I can use the word happy, it’s not a very good word in Christianity, but you understand what I mean, contentment, all those things.
0:04:26 But we need to know how to get it, and we need to know what the problem is. Okay, so here’s the deal. I work in the spiritual realm. I should, right? I mean, I have a title, pastor. I lead a church. I carry a bible. I go to church on Sunday. I worship God. I preach the word of God. We do these podcasts, I tell people stuff. That’s my department. And here’s the problem. We have other men and women that should be in their department that have broken ranks.
0:04:53 And instead of preaching spiritual things, preaching the spirit on Sunday, they’re preaching a self-centered gospel that’s all about you and talking about your hurts and your past and how to hang on, how to get through trouble. God loves you anyway, just the way you are. Don’t worry about a thing, just keep coming and keep trying to break through. And the frustrations build up in us too. But the problem is we’re preaching the wrong thing.
0:05:22 That’s not even the gospel. The gospel is transformation. The gospels be changed by the renewing of your mind, that you would know well what the will of God is. You’d know it if you get your mind transformed. And so what’s happened is the politicians are being political. Great. That’s what shouldn’t a politician be political? Right. A justice of the Supreme Court needs to be legal. Right. We need that. We have other people that have the right. They need to be able to have the right to protest if they want to.
0:05:50 Right. We have all these things going on. The problem is the church is running in all these other roles and not being what it needs to be. Generally speaking, there’s always exceptions. But if you go to the across the board churches all over America and around the world, but particularly around America, you already know what you’re going to get when you’re going to get there, because they’re going to. It’s a soothing and not saving, it’s not a transformation service. It soothes us. It’s going to make us feel loved. It’s going to talk about how you can make friends, how you can go to different dinners and games and it’s a short service and it’s a therapy. It’s a therapy service. We’re going to talk to you about why you do what you do. But come on, you can get over it. Settle down, quit being saved. So angry.
0:06:34 And so we’re saying all these things, but those, that’s not spiritual. Biblically spiritual. Caring about people and having sympathy for people is a good idea, but it’s not what spiritual people do. Spiritual people bring the spirit of the Lord and present it to people, but we first get it presented to us. So Jesus said about himself a couple of things. He said, first of all, the spirit of the Lord is upon me, okay? And then he said, go and wait in Jerusalem until the spirit of the Lord comes on you, then you will be able to do spiritual coverings, spiritual things.
0:07:12 So the church then, if it would do its part, we would have politicians being politicians, right. Lawyers being lawyers, justices being justice, you know, all those things that everybody is doing in their own arena. But then the church would be doing spiritual presentations of spiritual things. Preaching the gospel, yes, but preach the Bible, spiritual things. How are we supposed to live? How are we supposed to think? How are we supposed to change?
0:07:40 What do we need to do? So the spirit of the Lord will come upon me and relieve me of some of my anxiety and your anxiety that came out of the pandemic and some of your anger and my anger and feeling like it’s hopeless. And so we just gravitate over to the angry crowd thinking, if we’re going to do anything good in the world, we’re going to have to do it by laws and politics, and we’re going to pass this, and we have to elect the right people that represent me.
0:08:07 That’s all fine, but that’s not who we are. We are. I am at least a citizen of heaven, of the kingdom of God. I have a presentation of spiritual things. I’m going to bring the spirit to you so you can live by the spirit, and when you live by the spirit, by faith in the spiritual things and what God says and how to live, how to think, and we begin to present the spirit of God. Like, I want to know that people are going to church and they’re being presented with the glory of God, the presence of God, that which changes us not by might and not by power, right? But by the spirit of God.
0:08:46 We change things. Well, we don’t. We’re off bound. We don’t have that. We have a little bit of talk about it. We’ve got some people talking revival. We need revival. Churches everywhere. Well, we need revival. They don’t mean they need revival. They don’t need. Most at least, don’t mean their church needs to change, or they need to change, or they need to become more committed, they need to become more loyal.
0:09:09 They need to become more fascinated with God and more interested and more searching for God. No, they mean you or the world or the politicians or the left or the right or whatever everybody else. We need revival for your sake, you need to make changes, and we need God to help you do that. But that’s not how Jesus did it at all. Jesus came and said, here I am. Here’s my people, here’s Jewish people, here’s Israel.
0:09:34 You need to repent and repent doesn’t mean be sorry. Remit, repent. You might be sorry, but it doesn’t mean be sorry. It means you’re going to change directions. He said, I’m trying. Jesus is trying to change the direction of Israel, right? Not trying to condemn them. He’s trying to change the direction so they’ll fall into the great favor of God and the power of God to be able to stand up of everything that’s coming their way.
0:09:59 And they will be solid. They won’t be swayed by everything around them. They won’t be swayed by all the things going on in the world today. They’re solid. They don’t, they’re moved by the word of God. They believe the word of God. They’re going to be faithful no matter what they see, what they find, what happens in the world. And so now these people are ready to present the light of the world. The light of the world lights you up.
0:10:22 It relieves you those problems. You think different, it feels different. And if you take this person over here who’s arguing with that person over there, right, if both those people experience the power of God, they may still disagree, but the anger will be gone, right? The discontent, the confusion will be gone, just that boiling over. That’s happening in our country. So here’s my point. In the current war, we’re in, yes, we’re in a war in our schools. We’re in a war of politics, we’re in a war immigration, we’re in a war with inflation, business, money, economy, everything, right?
0:10:59 But there’s a war that we are in, and that is a spiritual war that we need to fight if we’re going to call ourselves Christians. If you’re not a Christian, go fight whatever you want or don’t fight at all. But if you’re a Christian, you need to fight the war that that is presented to us, where the Bible says we don’t fight with flesh and blood, we don’t write. Our fight is not a carnal, worldly war. Fight, no, we fight against the powers and wickedness and spiritual powers that are controlling and doing things because the weapons of our warfare, they’re not worldly weapons.
0:11:34 Our weapons are not to go out and make sure the politician votes the way we think. Now, that’s not wrong to do it, but that’s not our weapons. Our weapons are spiritual weapons that change the heart and minds of people. So we have this terrible spiritual war to where, you know, you feel, even Christians, you feel like there’s just a wandering of the mind, you know, I was thinking about, I wrote down here the movie. It’s called an American tale. And I think the song from it is.
0:12:02 I think it is somewhere out there or something like that. And it’s like, somewhere out there is somewhere something. And then what about the old song that we still like today, real popular, you know, the wizard of Oz? Somewhere over the rainbow and it makes us go, yeah, out there over on the rainbow. Somewhere out there there’s some relief. Somewhere out there is a rainbow for me. Or somewhere out there is a pot of gold.
0:12:25 Somewhere out there is something and the something is already here. It’s not out there. It’s already here. The something is the savior of the world, Jesus. Yes, but the connector is what we’re losing, and that’s the spirit of God. The same spirit connects us so that we’re not choosing Jesus so we can go somewhere after we die. We do have, there is such a thing as heaven, obviously, but that’s not the point.
0:12:49 The point is the spirit of God comes to you now, and you learn to live. You get rid of all that anger, all the stuff, all the turmoil, and then you present yourself as one. That’s the light of the world. And you begin to light up the world and bring the glory of God and presence of God, and we end some of this turmoil that can only be solved by the spiritual. Right. It doesn’t matter if you elect another president.
0:13:16 That’s not going to change. Right. Those people that thought he should be elected or she should be elected are going to be angry that they weren’t. And those that got their person in, they’re going to be happy that they did, but they’re still going to be angry at the other, and the other’s going to be, it doesn’t change anything. It changes laws and direction, doesn’t change the heart. And we need a heart change, and we don’t know how to get it.
0:13:36 Just, you can’t legislate a heart change, right? You can’t elect a new president and get a heart change. You might agree better, but you can’t get that. So what we need is a great awakening. We need a spiritual revival. We need people like us, like me. I put it on myself, too, that I go to church. I believe in the Bible. I believe in Jesus. I believe in God. You know, I believe in the system, and I want to be a part of it. I want to be a part of the kingdom of God now while I’m here on earth.
0:14:02 And so I have to get what is my duty then what is my duty to that, and that is, I need to get personal revival. I need to get church revival. I need to get ministry revival. We need revival in ministers and pastors and in churches, worship leaders, and then just regular folks, all the folks, the church needs to stand up and say, look, we’ve been touched by the very hand of God. The spirit of the Lord is upon us. We’re different. We’ve changed. We’re happier.
0:14:31 We’re more satisfied. We’re not angry. And let us share that with you so that they can vote the way they want. But the heart has been changed. The heart has been changed, and we need a great awakening. We need a revival that sweeps our nation. We’ve had it before. Other nations have had revivals. In the nineties, the late nineties, you may not even have been born yet, but there were revivals sweeping the nation. We didn’t do real well with all of them. We did well with some of them. And if you read in the books, it’ll show you three of them. As you know, the Toronto blessing, the Pensacola revival, and then the Smithton outpouring, which is what I led, and you’ll name those three. Sometimes they leave off Smithton because it was a small town. They think, what good could come out of a little town? But you read about it, you’ll find out it was. People come away saying it was the most intense revival of all three.
0:15:19 And I like intense things. I like. I like to be intense for God. Cause God is an intense God. Right? He’s an intense God, and he moves a lot faster than you probably think. And so we need that great awakening. We need a revival of the spirit. And where in the church. We don’t need to start preaching to roman soldiers in Jesus day. We don’t need to start preaching and wrecking and pushing and shoving people who choose an alternate lifestyle or they choose woke or they choose progressivism, and then we’re angry. We’re going to do it. We’re going to get you. We’re going to change it. So we’re going to kick that school board off and we’re going to put our school board on.
0:15:54 Yeah, but you haven’t changed a thing, right? You may change policy, but you didn’t change a person. See, we change people, not policies. And then people who are changed change policies. Right, but we’re the people changers. We’re the spirit of the God. The spirit of the Lord is upon us, and so we need to now reflect. Begin to reflect and let the spirit of the Lord revive God’s people first. That’s the pattern that Jesus used.
0:16:20 He told his own people, you need to repent, you need to turn. Change your mind on what it means to be jewish. Change your mind on what it means to be a priest. Change your mind on what it means to be a pharisee. What does it mean? What are we supposed to do? How do we help glorify the Lord? And they didn’t want to do it. They didn’t want to change. They wanted to continue on and do nothing. And that’s the problem we have in our churches today.
0:16:44 They continue to be therapy sessions, kind people. They’re nice people. They don’t, they’re not bad people. I don’t want anybody to think I’m saying they’re bad or they’re, you know, they’re doing this on purpose. They’re only teaching what they were taught. And they have not experienced the power of God like they did in the Bible, where it was transforming, it healed, it delivered, it set free. It changed the course of a whole person’s life. Their heart changed and their eyes changed then, too, and their ears changed and their mouth changed.
0:17:13 And that’s what we need today. So we need a revival of the genuine religion. We need a revival of the spirit. And it’s got to start. If you consider yourself a believer, why not start with you? How do you know that you’re not a world changer? You see, if you’re locked into the religion of today and you just go to church and you soothe and you’re soothed and there’s nice people there and you enjoy the music or the way your church does it, maybe you go to the catholic church. You’re episcopalian or presbyterian or Methodist, and you like it, you’re fine with that.
0:17:41 But that’s not going to change the world if you just coast along on the level that you’re comfortable with. What we need is for you to experience the spirit of the living God. Paul did on the road to Damascus. He was on his way to persecute Christians and wham. Power of God changed him completely and his worldview changed and he changed the world. And he’s still changing it today after his death. Right?
0:18:02 How do you know that’s not you? You’re used to be a world changer. Well, all you have to do, get more of the spirit of God. Let the spirit of the Lord come upon you. Focus on getting your spiritual, your spiritual, your spirit, right? Get your spirit moving with God. If you’re having financial troubles, get your spirit moving with God. Relationships, spirit of God, right? Boredom, directionless, confused, angry, offended.
0:18:30 They’re not going to change, and you’re not going to change. You’re just going to keep doing that. If you really want to change the world, you get changed and become a world changer. And that’s hard to do because it’s a lot easier to tell everybody else, you need revival. You need God, you need to be saved. You need to get moral, whatever. Nope. Starts with us and the people of God. And if the church will take on this assignment and say, and more and more pastors and leaders say, we need a revival in our churches to light the world, that this is part of the picture.
0:19:01 We have the physical, and we’ve got the moral. We’ve got the physical, we’ve got spirit, we got soul, we got body, right? We got bodies we live in. We see that. We see people committing crimes, doing terrible things to bodies and all kinds of stuff. And our soul is our mind and our will and our emotions. And we see the troubled, troubled people. But what we need is, and those parts are working like politicians and trying to pass laws in the Supreme Court or elect a new president or whatever.
0:19:34 Where’s the spirit? See, the spirit is the part that’s missing. There’s no spiritual shove. There’s a lot of political shove, a lot of political argument. A lot of angry people. A lot of fired up people, too. Right? A lot of fired up people about America. Right? Well, where’s the fired up people in the church? Instead of sitting there and trying to keep everything calm, keeping everything the same, we need an outbreak of the spirit of God. And it has to start with people like you and with me. We got to say, Jesus is talking to his own people.
0:20:04 We get it, right? We change. We change our mind, and we’ll be able to change the world. And the world will be a lot happier and safer. Right? And then we can still do our preferences, we can still vote laws or politicians the way we want. But it’s this calming down of this anger and fighting. And the current war is between us, in our hearts, to other people. The current war is within our own souls. We’re angry and fighting a war.
0:20:29 We don’t know what to do. We don’t know how to apply ourselves to this economy, to the world, to the joblessness or job opportunities, whatever relationships woke school systems, immigration. We need to know. The Bible says if you’ll be transformed and get your mind renewed, you’ll know what the will of the Lord is. Did you get that today? So that’s our current war, we might go into a world war which we are not prepared for.
0:20:55 We cannot win the war we want to win as spiritual people or as Christians. We’re not going to win this. It’s going to get worse and worse unless we add the ingredient of the spiritual people, the spirit people put in their part to this trinity of spirit, soul and body. All of it works together to keep us free and to bring God on the scene in our nation and help us save our nation and preserve our nation so you can have a safe place to raise your children.
0:21:21 All right, so here’s what I’ve done. This is from chapter two of the book, if you only knew and guide to the clueless generation. We’re putting guidelines on there. We’re putting study guides on there. They’re free. Download the study guide, okay. And get it. And also then continue to look at the others. If you don’t have the book, if you only knew. You can still get it free. You can download it free, too, along with the study guide. But if you’d like to have a physical book, then it’s $7 or whatever it is, to get that, which I personally like that.
0:21:55 So get the message. The church needs its message. The church says it starts with us and then it’s going to flow out. If you have these Christians that are arguing, we’re fine. It’s everybody else that is bad. We’re the angels, they’re the devils. They just need to change. Nothing is going to change. Nothing. Because we are the world changers. We change them not by might, but by the spirit and power, but by the spirit of the living God. Did you get that? Check out this. Go to more faith, more life, and check out the downloads in the book. Until next time. Bye.
